Privacy Policy
kiša.com works without accounts or registration. Here we explain which data we use, why, and how long we keep it.

Who controls the data
kiša.com is operated by its owner. For any privacy questions write to vesa.ivanovic.seo@gmail.com.
Location
If you allow access to your location, we use it to show the radar, forecast and rain arrival estimate for the place where you are. You can refuse or withdraw permission in your browser settings, and the site will keep working with a manually chosen place.
We send the coordinates to our server only to get weather data and we do not store them, unless you turn on rain alerts (see below). When you have not shared your location, we may use an approximate location derived from your IP address, which is not stored.
Rain alerts
When you turn on alerts, we store in our database the technical address of your subscription provided by the browser (the push endpoint and keys) and the coordinates of the location you allowed, so that we can notify you before rain. We do not store your name, email or other personal data.
You can turn the subscription off in the alerts menu on the site, and we then delete that data. You can also write to vesa.ivanovic.seo@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Data on your device
Your browser stores small settings, for example whether you dismissed the prompt for alerts or which units you prefer. They stay on your device and are not sent to us. You can delete them in your browser settings.
Analytics and cookies
To understand how the site is used we use Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics. They may record visited pages, approximate location (city or country), and device and browser type, and Google Analytics also sets cookies. This data is statistical and we do not use it to identify you.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Google also offers a browser add-on that disables Google Analytics.
Advertising
We may show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other sites, and to measure how well ads perform. We do not receive your personal data from Google.
You can turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings, and you can learn more about how Google uses data on the Google partner sites page. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are given a choice about cookie consent before ads are shown.
We occasionally show a "Sponsor" label with a link to an advertiser's site. Such links are marked as sponsored, and we do not share your data with advertisers.
Third-party services
To run the site we send requests to the following services, which see your IP address when we do:
- Open-Meteo: forecast, UV index, pollen, air quality and climate.
- RainViewer: rain radar images.
- OpenFreeMap and OpenStreetMap: map base layer.
- Nominatim (OpenStreetMap): place search, which receives the text you type into the search box.
- BigDataCloud: when you tap the map or share your location, your browser sends those coordinates to BigDataCloud to get the place name.
- Vercel: site hosting and analytics.
- Google Analytics: visit statistics.
- Google AdSense: serving ads.
Each of them has its own privacy policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, for example under the GDPR and UK GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California, you may have the right to request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and to withdraw consent. Send your request to vesa.ivanovic.seo@gmail.com. If you believe your rights have been violated, you can contact your local data protection authority.
Children
The site is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may change this policy when the features of the site or the regulations change. The date of the last change is shown at the top of the page.
